This year we will be running the following form events:

Cheng Man Ching form - beginner
Cheng Man Ching form - intermediate
Cheng Man Ching form - open
Internal hand form - beginner
Internal hand form - intermediate
Internal hand form - open
Internal weapon form - beginner
Internal weapon form - intermediate
Internal weapon form - open
External hand form - beginner
External hand form - intermediate
External hand form - open
External weapon form - beginner
External weapon form - intermediate
External weapon form - open
Junior hand form (aged 10 & under)
Junior hand form (aged 11 to 16)
Junior weapon form (aged 10 and under)
Junior weapon form (aged 11 to 16)

Beginner means up to one years experience and intermediate means up to three years experience. Please note that this refers to experience related to a particular event, so someone who has 5 years experience in hand form, but only 2 years experience with a weapon would be in the open event for the hand form and the intermediate event for the weapon.

RULES

The form events will be judged by a panel of 3 judges, each of whom will award points to competitors in accordance with the following criteria (up to 10 points for each):

Forms will be subject to a time limit of 4 minutes. Exceeding this limit by more than 10 seconds will result in a deduction of 5 points by each judge. A "20 seconds to go" warning will be given as well as another warning at 4 minutes to give the competitor time to bring their form to a conclusion.
