Traffic Update

VENUE

The Championships will be held at the Stockland Green Leisure Centre, Slade Road, Birmingham B23 7JH.

The Championships will start at 10:00am sharp (doors open at 9:00am) and are expected to end at 6:00pm.

BY ROAD

Ample car parking is available. There is an alternative entrance (with a smaller car park) in Marsh Hill.

From the North West use the M6 and exit at junction 6. When you reach the roundabout at ground level follow the "local instructions" below.

From the North use the M1, M42 and then the M6. Exit at junction 6 of the M6. When you reach the roundabout at ground level follow the "local instructions" below.

From the South use the M40, M42 and then the M6 or the M1 and then the M6. Exit at junction 6 of the M6. As you come off on the exit slip at junction 6 the road forks and you should bear right. When you reach the roundabout at ground level follow the "local instructions" below.

From the South West use the M5, M42 and then the M6. Exit at junction 6 of the M6. As you come off on the exit slip at junction 6 the road forks and you should bear right. When you reach the roundabout at ground level follow the "local instructions" below.

Local Instructions Take the very first exit from the roundabout. This is Slade Road (it is a minor exit from this roundabout). The entrance to the leisure centre is on the left after about threequarters of a mile (just before first major crossroads with traffic lights). Click here for a map. BY TRAIN

Travel to New Street Station in Birmingham. Catch the local train from New Street towards Lichfield. Get off at the 3rd stop which is called Gravelly Hill. From there follow the road up the hill for about ½ mile and you will reach the Stockland Green Leisure centre where the championships are being held.

BY AIR

Birmingham International airport is only about 7 miles from the venue.

ACCOMODATION

The cost is 17.50 GB pounds per night for bed and breakfast, but if you mention that you are making a "sports booking related to the Stockland Green Leisure Centre" they will offer a discount of 1.50 GB pounds per night.
